How it works

Your shellac step by step

  1. Preparation: Your nails are shaped, cuticles cared for and the surface prepared.
  2. Base: A thin base coat protects your natural nail.
  3. Color: Your chosen color is applied and each layer is cured under UV light.
  4. Shine: A top coat adds high gloss and protection – and you can go straight away, no drying time.

Shellac works on fingernails and toenails. Fancy a new color? A color change costs CHF 20.

Usually 2 to 3 weeks without chipping – depending on how fast your nails grow and how much you use your hands in everyday life. On toenails, shellac usually lasts even longer.

Shellac is a hybrid of nail polish and gel: it’s applied like polish, cured under UV light and lasts much longer than regular polish. Gel polish is even a little more durable. Not when it’s applied and removed professionally. The important thing is to never peel or pick off shellac yourself – doing so pulls off the top layers of your natural nail. Let us remove it gently instead.
